Do These 3 Things In Bed For A Beautiful Day

You may have heard of the "morning rituals" of celebrities that go viral in books, podcasts, and social media.

But what is so remarkable about the morning rituals?

First, believe it or not, the moment you wake up is the best opportunity to set the tone of the day.

During sleep, the momentum of your thoughts stops, and the unconscious mind takes over. And when you are awake, your conscious mind begins to kick in gradually. If you tend to think negative thoughts, the negative momentum will slowly set in.

However, if you decide to feed something different, in this case, some positive thoughts, you have an excellent chance to make a nice turn when the momentum is not yet in place.

That's why you may see people may want to go to sleep when they are highly overwhelmed or depressed because, one, they may want to escape from that uncomfortable feeling and thought; two, they will feel better after sleep as the negative momentum has ceased during sleep.

Now that you know this secret, you should start doing the following simple steps before you even get out of bed!

1. When you are awake in bed, look for three things you are grateful for.

  • We are not talking about the BS of "positive thinking." Genuinely find three things you feel great about, e.g., feeling the softness of the pillow, breathing deeply with the abundance of air, or feeling recharged to sleep under a safe roof, etc.

  • The key is to immerse yourself in good feelings.

  • Settle in for a brief while.

2. Then, visualize three things you want to make happen today.

  • There is no limit. For example, if you want to give the presentation confidently and end with a round of applause, go for it!

  • The key is being honest to feel the way you want.

3. Finally, take three deep breaths.

  • When you breathe in, you savor the breath.

  • When you breathe out, you say, "thank you!"

You will feel amazing getting out of bed!

Starting small and making it consistent is pivotal to the success of almost anything. These three steps are good enough for you to get the ball rolling. Indeed, we will talk about the morning rituals in more significant detail in another article.
